Smokeless fuels, we always recommend a yearly sweep for domestic properties with average use. Wood burning stoves every 3 months of when in use. It is extremely important to check your insurance details. Thatched Properties, check you insurance documentation as to requirements of the appliance and flue system as well as intervals for sweeping, this can vary from 2 to 4 times per year.
No, our service is as clean as we can make it. We pride ourselves on treating every clients property with the highest respect. We provide specialist sheets that cover floor surfaces and soot sheets that block the chimney. We use Dust Control commercial vacuums to clear any soot or dust. We leave things as we find them minus the soot!
Can I use my fire the night before you visit ?
We request that your fire has been out for at least 14 hours before we arrive.
How long will it take ?
Normally we can carry out a full sweep in around an hour. If we encounter any problems such as birds nests this can extend the timescale and cost. This will always be discussed fully before proceeding.
Do you provide an insurance recognised certificate ?
Yes, we email / leave a certificate that will have all details of the sweep carried out.
Are you insured​ ?
We are fully insured for both public liability £3mil and public indemnity £1mil.
