If we are unable to sweep due to issues or access , inappropriate installation/hazards. We reserve the right to charge a standard £30 Inspection Fee. This Includes corrective measure advice and completion of appropriate documentation.
If a fault within the chimney or appliance is discovered during sweeping, the customer will be made fully aware and advised of actions that need to be taken to correct it. If such actions cannot be completed immediately a warning notice will be issued to not use the appliance until such time as the works are carried out, see 'Inspection fee'.
Faulty liners and connected items. If during the sweeping process the liner is found to have failed or be unfit for use due to it coming to the end of its service life, this suggests an underlying fault which simply was exposed by the sweeping process.
Cowls and guards, if a chimney cowl is found to be rusted beyond safe use or falls during the sweep then the cowl wasn’t fitted correctly in the first place isn’t the responsibility of the sweep.
